The Rise of Zombie Journalism

Politician's outrageous and slanderous lies published by legacy media!

On Friday, 8th October 2021, a Councillor (Cllr.) for my local electoral area of Limerick City West, tweeted the following
As part of Cllr. O'Donovan's tweet to advertise her participation in an upcoming National Women's Council of Ireland (NWCI) webinar about online abuse, O'Donovan uploaded an out-of-context video compilation of clips from my videos, which identified me as the content creator and prompted her flying monkeys to go on a reporting spree trying to get my YouTube channel taken down.

Less than eleven hours later and the Irish Examiner got in on the act, publishing an article based entirely on the tweet and some of the replies and describing my videos as "misogynistic."

The Irish Examiner article

This style of journalism, where a load of tweets are cobbled together to produce a copy-and-paste article and where nothing is investigated or verified, is what I like to call zombie journalism.

"The Reporting Dead" is what they would call it if it was a TV show.

Such brain-dead articles have become more and more commonplace in recent years and it is sad to see Irish journalism plumb such depraved depths; I have featured in articles they published in the past, when the journalists took the time to cover every aspect of the story and present all sides. Now, however, it's such a pity to see the bar being lowered so low that you could trip over it.

With zombie journalism there is a complete lack of impartiality and they can't be bothered to even pretend to investigate the story properly.

On Thursday, 14th October 2021, the NWCI held their webinar and it was the turn of the Irish Times to get in on the act with an article that simply quoted verbatim what the various participants had to say and presented it all as if it were fact.

It was interesting to listen to the explanation given by Cllr. O'Donovan about how she got my "Elisa Lies" video on YouTube blocked in Ireland. That video was the exposé on Cllr. O'Donovan and her antics which was starting to go viral. Some say it was the best video on O'Donovan that they've ever seen (and thankfully it was not totally suppressed as it's still available on Bitchute, Odysee and Rumble).

"I've spoken about my experience of trying to get videos taken down: very misogynistic, really disgusting videos about me on YouTube. I couldn’t get them taken down. First of all, I put in a breach of privacy complaint and I was told to deal directly with the content creator, so they wanted me to deal directly with the person who was abusing me which I obviously did not feel safe to do. The second thing I did then was put in a copyright because they were manipulating my own videos to make me out looking like a witch, and that was also refused. So I had to result in getting a solicitor to put in very specific defamation claims and all that resulted in was some of the videos being blocked in Ireland but they could be viewed in the rest of the world." said Cllr. O'Donovan in the NWCI Zoom call

Nothing that Cllr. O'Donovan said is actually true.

My videos are neither misogynistic nor disgusting and many have described them as informative and witty.

Cllr. O'Donovan put in a privacy complaint for a 3 minute section in a video of her unhinged antics outside the Sacred Heart Church in Limerick on Palm Sunday this year, it was for the 3 minute exchange that took place between us after she crossed the road to confront me. Her complaint was rejected by YouTube because she was a public representative that was filmed in a public place while claiming to be carrying out her duty as a Councillor; there was no invasion of privacy.

The only time that YouTube requires the complainant to contact the content creator directly is in the case of a defamation claim and that contact can take the form of an email or letter from the complainant (or their solicitor) to the content creator. I have had absolutely no correspondence from either O'Donovan or her solicitor.

There is absolutely no requirement to call to see the content creator in person, as the mendacious Councillor suggested during the NWCI Zoom call and even if that were the case, why would she fear for her safety? She knows full well that I have never behaved menacingly or threateningly towards her.

As my video, "Cllr. Elisa O'Donovan calls the Guards (unedited)" (the video that she complained about to YouTube for 'invasion of privacy') shows, she had no problem shouting at me (unprovoked) from across the road, she had no fear whatsoever in walking up to me and recording me up close and in my face, she had no problem walking across the road to me to insult me and make snide remarks about my attempt to help the people in my electoral area. At no time did I approach her, but she saw nothing wrong broadcasting lies about me online and in the local media, saying that I had intimidated and harassed her.

It was her lies to the media and getting her far-left associates in Antifa Limeick to launch an online hate campaign targeting me and my children that prompted me to make the videos in the first place. If Cllr. O'Donovan hadn't lied, there would have been no need for my videos.

Contrary to what Cllr. O'Donovan stated, there is no need to contact the content creator for a YouTube copyright claim, but for copyright claims to be successful they must either go unchallenged (I challenged her claims against my comedy videos under 'fair use') or the complainant must show YouTube that they are taking a court action against the content creator.

Cllr. O'Donovan claims that she had to get a solicitor to make a "specific" defamation claim to YouTube.

YouTube's policy on defamation specifically requires the complainant to contact the content creator directly via email or letter and as I previously stated, I have had absolutely no correspondence whatsoever from either O'Donovan or her solicitor regarding my videos or any other issues for that matter. which means that she got a solicitor to lie to YouTube and claimed that they had attempted to contact me or were issuing court proceedings against me for defamation.

Cllr. O'Donovan is no stranger to taking a defamation case against a private citizen when she feels slighted and offended by what they said about her online. So why hasn't she taken a case against me?

Could it be that I don't come across as the kind of mark that you could shake down for €10,000 in an out-of-court settlement? Could it be the fact that I would actually relish the opportunity to defend my videos in court?

I didn't defame O'Donovan at all, she did that all by herself when she made a holy show of herself by harassing Catholics as they prayed the Rosary outside the Sacred Heart Church in Limerick on Palm Sunday.

I did not initiate calling Cllr. O'Donovan a witch, she called herself a witch in a series of tweets; I merely picked up on the fact and portrayed her as a witch simply for comedic effect in light of her own self-identification. She also wore a top calling herself a "gowl," which like the censored 'C' word (c*%#) that she claimed to have caused her so much upset, is a derogatory word for female genitalia.

"Gowl" is also used as a slang word to describe an annoying person, an idiot and a dishonest person.

Elisa O Donovan Gowl
G + Owl = Gowl

Unlike the defamation case against a private citizen that Cllr. O'Donovan currently has before Limerick Circuit Court, I have actually named O'Donovan and it is very obvious to all that watch the videos who it is that I'm speaking about.

In O'Donovan's current defamation case she wasn't actually named at all in the online post that she alleges has defamed her, she simply claims that the post was about her and promptly issued court proceedings. The case has no merit and if it isn't dropped before it is heard then the Judge will undoubtedly throw it out and award costs against O'Donovan. Her defamation case is little more than an abuse of law; a contemptible attempt by a politician to publicly blacken the good name of a private citizen.

It is absolutely scandalous that media have published this politicians lies about me without question; I am clearly identified in Cllr. O'Donovan's video tweet, which was then embedded unquestionably into the Irish Examiner article. Maybe I should consider taking a defamation case myself?

In the meantime, I will keep making video exposés as they are needed.

Here's my response video to Councillor O'Donovan's latest Twitter hate fest (another one for her and her flying monkeys to complain about):

Here's  a playlist of all my videos featuring Councillor O'Donovan:

The Councillor Elisa O'Donovan Chronicles (6 videos)

And there will be plenty more videos to come. I may not be able to stop the rise of zombie journalism, but when it tries to bite me I can do my best to counter it with my own fringe journalism.

Next up is "Fatal Detraction: The Untold Story of Deputy Brian Leddin and Councillor Elisa O'Donovan" in which i will be taking a closer look at that defamation case of O'Donovan's as well as her fantasy mindset and modus operandi, so be sure to head on over to my YouTube channel to subscribe and hit the bell for notifications, you won't want to miss it.

Brian Leddin and Elisa O'Donovan star in FATAL DETRACTION (Trailer)

EXPOSED: Learn the shocking UNTOLD truth behind the Brian Leddin TD and Councillor Elisa O'Donovan story that the legacy media tried to cover up!

Brian Leddin TD and Councillor Elisa O'Donovan
COMING SOON

CLARIFICATION: Deputy Brian Leddin is not legally married, he is living with his girlfriend. I took a bit of artistic licence with the description of their relationship in the video so that there'd be more overlap with the characters in Fatal Attraction. Besides, there are no more husband and wives; the legal term these days is spouse.

This is a humourous and light-hearted trailer for my forthcoming video, "Fatal Detraction: The Untold Story of Deputy Brian Leddin and Councillor Elisa O'Donovan" which will be no laughing matter and which will tell the story that the legacy media refused to tell and expose the lies and spin. All the facts will be presented and the real bullies, those snakes in the grass, will be dragged into the light and won't be left anonymous. So be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and hit the bell for notifications, you won't want to miss it.

WATCH MORE:

My video "Elisa Lies: The Hypocrisy & Mendacity of Councillor Elisa O’Donavan," which was blocked in Ireland (unless you have a VPN) by YouCantSayThatTube following a false defamation claim made by Councillor O'Donovan's "expensive solicitor" friend, who would have had to lie in order to get it blocked in Ireland. I submitted an appeal in July 2020, but have yet to hear back from the censorious tech giant. Thankfully the video can still be viewed on the following free speech platforms:

It is still on YouTube, but cannot be viewed in the Republic of Ireland without a VPN: https://youtu.be/PDV3yegsSaA

Why men should not be shut out of the abortion debate

Tomorrow (1.7.17), I’ll be at the Save the 8th Rally for Life in Dublin along with tens of thousands of others who support the right to life for the unborn child.

No doubt, at some point we will pass the few screeching pro-aborts in counter demonstration as they hiss, spit and shout obscenities in our direction while holding aloft their placards displaying a variety of bizarre and vulgar messages:

My body – my choice” - is a fairly common placard and its message is oblivious to the reality that the developing foetus is in fact an individual with its own unique DNA.

Keep your rosaries off my ovaries” - is an old favourite and is an attempt to portray pro-lifers as being motivated simply by religious belief while ignoring the facts that some of us are atheists and human life does not begin at ovulation.

If abortion is murder then blowjobs r cannibalism” - now that is a new one, which really highlights the level of scientific ignorance in the ranks of the pro-choice brigade.

Just as human life does not begin at ovulation, neither does it begin at ejaculation; it actually begins at conception and this is not a belief of mine, it is a long established undeniable scientific fact. Unlike the spermatozoa depicted on the placard, the facts are hard to swallow for many pro-choice campaigners, so they either deny or blatantly ignore them.

They don’t like the fact that human life begins at conception, so they uses phrases like “a clump of cells” to deny the humanity of the unborn child.

They don’t like the fact that the term “fatal foetal abnormality” is not actually a real medical diagnosis, but they use it anyway to try and convince others that it is.

They completely ignore the fact that medical inquiries (HIQA and HSE) found that Savita Halappanavar died of sepsis that went undetected due to negligence and they continue to use her tragic death to promote their twisted agenda for abortion-on-demand in Ireland.

Yes indeed, the facts can be triggering for some pro-aborts; I have been spit on and screeched at on more than one occasion and I have encountered pro-choice campaigners that refused to engage in debate simply because I am a man; saying that I shouldn’t even have a vote in the referendum!

Despite the fact that I spent the first nine-months of my life in my mother’s womb I should be excluded from the debate because my father’s spermatozoon carried the Y chromosome?

Of course this demented argument doesn’t apply to all men.

It doesn’t apply to celebrechauns like Liam Neeson or Cillian Murphy when they campaign for abortion. Nor does it apply to billionaires like George Soros and Warren Buffet when they lavishly fund abortion campaigns and pay for women to have abortions. It certainly doesn’t apply to men like Amnesty International’s Colm O’Gormon when they’re leading pro-abortion campaigns; their lack of a womb doesn’t seem to matter to the twits on Twitter who furiously tweet out #NoUterusNoOpinion.

It only applies to pro-life men; men like Dr. Anthony Levatino, a practicing obstetrician, gynaecologist and former abortionist who performed over 1,200 abortions before realising that he was, in fact, taking human life.

Dr. Levatino’s testimony to the so-called Citizen's Assembly clearly fell on deaf ears as it recommended that the Oireachtas should legislate for abortion without restriction in Ireland.

An Oireachtas committee has now been established and a referendum will be held next year because the fact is, despite the catchy slogan, you cannot simply “Repeal the 8th” like legislation. Our Constitution must be amended and it will be up to the people of Ireland, Irishmen and Irishwomen, to decide how much we actually value human life.

The value that Irish society has for human life is central to this debate, just as is our desire to ensure that women receive the support and compassion they need when they face an unexpected pregnancy. Valuing human life and looking for real support and care for women is something that everyone, regardless of gender, should support.

Just as our Constitution seeks to protect the right to life of the unborn with the 8th Amendment it also guarantee’s our right to vote “without distinction of sex”, so it is daft for pro-choicers to even raise this as an issue. Trying to exclude men from the debate is an attempt to distract from the facts - and as a former pro-choicer I know how important those facts are in the battle for hearts and minds.

The facts are gender neutral and as a man I will continue to distribute them with my fellow pro-lifers door-to-door and person-to-person, changing one mind at a time. As a father I will continue to raise my children to value all human life, and as a community activist I will continue to help vulnerable families as best I can and promote better alternatives to women that are considering an abortion or suffering from Post-Abortion Syndrome.

When I pass those screeching harpies tomorrow, I will be holding my head high.

100 Years Ago Today

So here we are, 24th April 2016, 100-years to the day that the Irish Republic was declared by Pearse outside the GPO in Dublin, 100-years since the spark that lit the flame of Irish freedom and independence was struck.

I should be brimming with pride. I had imagined that I would have attended one of the many commemorations or even a protest to mark the occasion, but I didn’t. Instead I stayed at home and the only thing I’ll be doing is filling out the census form later on. I just don’t feel that there is anything to celebrate, but I didn’t always feel this way.

This banner was painted by me and my wife Cindy for the Irish National Congress (INC). It is based on an original print by former INC Cathaoirleach Robert Ballagh

The mid-section turns up everywhere on the web and elsewhere, it is often mistakenly described as the Ballagh print, However the Ballagh print does not have flames painted in to the 1916.

Here it is making its debut outside the British Embassy for an INC protest on Easter Monday, 24th April 2000, 84 years to the day that the Men and Women of 1916 declared "the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland, and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible", the INC protested outside the British Embassy in Dublin at the continued usurpation of that right by the British government. (My wife, Cindy, is holding the banner on the left, I'm out of picture on the right and Robert Ballagh is pictured front & right.)

My father, Cathal McCarthy, reads the Proclamation to those assembled as the then INC Cathaoirleach, Mary Lou McDonald, (partially pictured on the far left holding a letter to the British ambassador) got cold feet on the day; she did however hand in a letter of protest to the Embassy protesting Britain's suspension of the institutions under the Good Friday Agreement on behalf of the INC.

So what’s changed? Why am I so disillusioned? Is it the fact that our country is still partitioned? No, that’s not it. Is the fact that we've just elected a bunch of squabbling ninnies that are unable to form a government? No, although I can’t imagine that our 1916 heroes would be too impressed with them, or the bank bail-outs, or the homelessness crisis, or Irish Water. In fact, if they travelled forward in time to today I think they would ask “where’s the Republic?” before travelling back to cancel the Rising.

What has me so disillusioned is our membership of the European Union (EU) and its goal of becoming a Federal State; 65% of our legislation is already imported from the EU.

When we first looked to join in 1963 it was called the European Economic Community (EEC) and there were only 6 member states. Our application to join was blocked by then French President, General Charles de Gaulle, because he didn't want Britain to join and believed that Ireland’s membership would help facilitate Britain’s membership. He blocked our next application to join in 1967. Then in 1969 his successor, George Pompidou, said that France would not to stand in the way of Irish and British membership.

We applied again and had a referendum in 1972 (the 3rd amendment to out Constitution), which approved membership. 70% of the electorate turned out to vote, with 83% (1,041,890) of the them voting “yes” and 17% (211,891) voting “No“.

Ireland’s economy benefited from membership of the EEC, of that there can be little doubt. A lot has changed since then and the EEC has become much bigger and is now the EU.

In 2004 the EU attempted to introduce an EU Constitution to become a federal state, it was signed by 25 of the member states but the Dutch and French peoples had referendums and rejected it in 2005. It was repackaged as the Lisbon Treaty and the governments of all the other member states signed up to it without consulting their people; Ireland was the only country to hold a referendum (because we have a robust Constitution that demanded we have one) and we rejected it in 2008.

The EU elite was not one bit happy, so Ireland was given a legally non-binding exemption from aspects of the treaty and we were asked to vote again in 2009, this time we voted “yes” to approve the 28th Amendment to our Constitution (most of our referendums are held because of EU treaties) to allow our government to ratify the treaty – feckin ejits!

Today the EU is a shambles and some of the member states seem to be losing the plot completely, Germany in particular (what is it about Germans and electing lunatics); Mad Merkel and her mass-immigration policy has set her country (and the rest of the European continent) on course for self-destruction.

The British are holding a referendum in June to decide if they should continue with their membership of the EU, I hope they vote to exit and I hope we follow suit; that would be a fitting way to honour our heroes’ of 1916 – voting to regain our independence.

I wasn't alive in 1966 when we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Rising, but I get the impression that while we weren't as well off as we are today, as a people we had more freedom in the real sense of the word. In 1916 we fought to be free of British elites, today we are in thrall to EU elites; what are celebrating for?

Solemn commemoration is more appropriate, read, remember and reclaim our Proclamation of 1916:

POBLACHT NA hÉIREANN
THE PROVISIONAL GOVERNMENT
OF THE
IRISH REPUBLIC
TO THE PEOPLE OF IRELAND

IRISHMEN AND IRISHWOMEN: In the name of God and of the dead generations from which she receives her old tradition of nationhood, Ireland, through us, summons her children to her flag and strikes for her freedom.

Having organised and trained her manhood through her secret revolutionary organisation, the Irish Republican Brotherhood, and through her open military organisations, the Irish Volunteers and the Irish Citizen Army, having patiently perfected her discipline, having resolutely waited for the right moment to reveal itself, she now seizes that moment, and supported by her exiled children in America and by gallant allies in Europe, but relying in the first on her own strength, she strikes in full confidence of victory.

We declare the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible. The long usurpation of that right by a foreign people and government has not extinguished the right, nor can it ever be extinguished except by the destruction of the Irish people. In every generation the Irish people have asserted their right to national freedom and sovereignty; six times during the past three hundred years they have asserted it in arms. Standing on that fundamental right and again asserting it in arms in the face of the world, we hereby proclaim the Irish Republic as a Sovereign Independent State, and we pledge our lives and the lives of our comrades in arms to the cause of its freedom, of its welfare, and of its exaltation among the nations.

The Irish Republic is entitled to, and hereby claims, the allegiance of every Irishman and Irishwoman. The Republic guarantees religious and civil liberty, equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens, and declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation and of all its parts, cherishing all of the children of the nation equally, and oblivious of the differences carefully fostered by an alien Government, which have divided a minority from the majority in the past.

Until our arms have brought the opportune moment for the establishment of a permanent National Government, representative of the whole people of Ireland and elected by the suffrages of all her men and women, the Provisional Government, hereby constituted, will administer the civil and military affairs of the Republic in trust for the people.

We place the cause of the Irish Republic under the protection of the Most High God, Whose blessing we invoke upon our arms, and we pray that no one who serves that cause will dishonour it by cowardice, inhumanity, or rapine. In this supreme hour the Irish nation must, by its valour and discipline, and by the readiness of its children to sacrifice themselves for the common good, prove itself worthy of the august destiny to which it is called.

Signed on behalf of the Provisional Government:

A Note to Leftists on Nazi Scum

On Saturday 6th February 2016 far-left protesters attacked supporters of PEGIDA Ireland (an anti- Islamisation group) as they tried to make their way to the GPO in Dublin City centre for a rally that was not allowed to happen.

Edit Note: the original 6min video that this blog was written about is no longer available on You Tube. the above 3min video is a re-edited version of the deleted one and does not feature the quote below by loud mouth hooligan Derek Byrne, or the SJW's hanging back from the trouble.

This video is so enlightening.

Oh the irony of Nazi scum chanting "Nazi scum get off our streets" while refusing to get off our streets.

I suppose they only wanted to assert their right to beat up people that they disagree with and how dare those evil Gardaí prevent them from defending us all from these “racists”.

"This is Ireland 2016 - racists are protected and the sticks are drawn on the people
-Derek Byrne

That says it all really; it’s okay to violently molest and beat a "racist" because they're not actually people - dehumanise the enemy/unbeliever and do as you please with them, it has a familiar ring to it. An almost "Es Ist Zeit zu säubern - Wir müssen die Juden ausrotten!" chime to it. A call to purge and cleanse – hello religiosity!

Of course, the collective harassment experienced by the PEGIDA Ireland supporters in this video is nothing compared to the experience of the women of Cologne and many other European cities on New Years Eve.

The "taherrush" literally means "collective harassment" and this fun Islamic game involves the sexual molestation and/or rape of women that are wearing perfume or are considered to be immodestly dressed (no hijab). There are over 1,000 official complaints from women in Cologne to date and the more sensibly dressed (duffle coat and jeans) got off the lightest, whereas women in skirts were literally brutalised. This is not acceptable behaviour and the very thought of it angers me.

Thankfully, we didn't experience that in Ireland because we haven't yet imported tens of thousands of third-world migrants with medieval beliefs, who, because of their numbers, don't feel the need to integrate and think they can insist that their Sharia Law should be tolerated in our Democracy.

We should look to Sweden as a cautionary tale and resolve not to replicate their mistakes. Irish people have every right to be concerned about open borders and mass immigration. We have a constitutional right to express those concerns in public, "peaceably and without arms" and anyone that interferes with that right is an enemy to our Democracy and our Freedom.

I suppose we should really thank these far-left nut-jobs for showing themselves up and I hope that people think long and hard before voting for any of the parties that they are associated with; I’d much rather be legally induced to pay my water bill than risk electing a totalitarian regime that would use physical coercion to silence dissenting voices.

I mean, I have Muslim friends that think we should close the borders, but then again they're integrated so I suppose that makes them "racist" as well, like the Polish lad in this video that "comes to this country" to be dictated to by a moron who thinks he knows what this country stands for while telling him he can’t go to the GPO!

Let me tell you this, Pearse and Connolly wouldn't spit on these frauds if they were on fire; they are anti-republican and they actually hate our country. This is the only conclusion that I can come to about people that promote open borders and mass immigration, especially in this day and age when we can all see what is happening in Europe. Take the flag from the mast you Irish traitors!

The virtue signalling middle-class Social Justice Warriors that hang well back from the trouble, bleating "Nazi scum get off our streets”, provide a good example of what it means to be a useful idiot. Of course, this video has been edited to remove the part where our “heroes” chase their quarry into a shop to administer their rough justice in the form of a beating.

The RTE camera man is ordered out by the leftists and he dutifully complies just as the Gardaí arrive and clear them all out. It is odd that the same RTE cameraman isn't as compliant when he is later told to move back by the Gardaí (Channel 4 News posted a video of this on Facebook; I'll leave a link below).

I don’t like it when the state abuses its power and uses the Gardaí to clear the road for Shell or arrest residents for objecting to their homes being water metered, but in this case I have to say fair play to our Gardaí for defending our democracy and more importantly, defending the lives of those that were prevented from exercising their constitutional rights.

I don’t know what PEGIDA were going to say had they made it to the GPO, but I do know that we have laws against hate speech and incitement to violence and that they would have been prosecuted if they engaged in it. We certainly don’t need self-appointed thought police preventing people from expressing views that they disagree with - that is Fascist, that is Communist, that is totalitarian.

I am not a member of Identity Ireland or of PEGIDA Ireland, but I share their concerns regarding the Islamisation of Europe through the acceptance of Sharia Law, and this shared concern in the eyes of some makes me a “racist” and a “fascist” – a non-human to be hunted down and destroyed – “Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood! Do him in!” they might chant when they get round to me.

I can only wonder if this is the type of political discourse I can now expect from my leftist friends? You know, those of you that advocate for open borders and mass immigration, the next time I encounter 5 or more of you should I be worried? Will I be attacked and chased into a shop because I disagree with you?

If my reasonable concerns are considered to be “far-right”, “fascist” and “racist” should I embrace those labels and the next time we meet maybe I could chant something like “Stalin, Pol Pot, No! No! No! – Communist scum away you go” while violently assaulting you and chucking you off a building like a homosexual in one of those oh so tolerant Islamic countries? Would that be the kind of thing you have in mind?

Fear not, I will not stoop to that level, I actually believe in Freedom of Speech for everyone, including you leftists.
